Matushka Susanne Senyo, beloved wife of Archpriest Michael, fell asleep in the Lord at home on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Matushka Susanne was born September 21,1959 in Sewickley, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Radyk) Kaniuk. Susanne worked at Erie Insurance as an office administrator and was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Jeannette and a past President of the BPW, Blairsville. Susanne graduated from IUP in 1981 and began her career as an executive secretary for NCR Corporation and later at Unilever United States where she served as special assistant to the director of corporate development. During their nearly 40 years of pastoral service to God's Faithful, she and Father Michael served at several Archdiocesan parishes: St Nicholas Church in Du Bois, SS Peter and Paul Church in Urey, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Masontown, St John the Baptist Church in Black Lick, St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Allison Park, and currently Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Jeannette. She also served as coordinator secretarial services for many All-American Councils for the Orthodox Church in America. She fully and lovingly embraced her role as Matushka in the church, faithfully serving with her husband for nearly 40 years.
She is survived by her husband Archpriest Fr. Michael Senyo of Jeannette, sons Michael and his wife Trisha of CA and Alexander and his wife Laura of GA; grandsons Nikolai, Peter and Benjamin.
Visitation will be held at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church 520 Scott Ave Jeannette on Tuesday January 21 from 2PM until the time of Panikhida at 6PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 9am Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow at 1pm at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery 25636 N. Mosiertown Rd. Edinboro Pa 16412.
