The Parish of St John the Baptist in Blairsville (Black Lick) is please to announce this year's recipient of their Archbishop Job Memorial Scholarship, Reader Evan Ashmore from Holy Trinity Church in State College. A $2,000 scholarship has been distributed to Evan for the 2024-25 school year.

St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church has established a scholarship in honor of Archbishop Job of Blessed Memory. The Archbishop Job Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to assist a seminarian(s) at St. Tikhon’s Seminary. “The Archbishop Job Memorial Scholarship” has been awarded yearly beginning with the 2020-21 academic year. Students from the Archdiocese of Western Pennsylvania and specifically the Eastern Deanery will be given priority. A fund has been created and will be administered by the Archbishop Job Scholarship Committee. Those wishing to contribute to the scholarship fund should make contributions payable to The Archbishop Job Memorial Scholarship Fund and mailed to the address listed below:
