After Vespers on Saturday November 25, St John the Baptist Church in Canonsburg hosted "The Living Stones of the Church: A Glimpse into the Life of Palestinian Christians Living in the Holy Land."
When one hears the words "Holy Land", most people imagine the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the famous Christian pilgrimage sites with thousands of years of history. These places carry a significant importance to all Christians in the world. However, most people don't know that there is a small population of Christians who have lived here for thousands of years and are considered the Living Stones of the Church.
Anastasia Bianco, a young Orthodox Christian woman (born in Russia) from the West Bank (they left almost immediately after the attacks) who is visiting her husband’s family in Peters Township, joined the faithful to share firsthand the lives of Christians living in one of the world's most controvesial regions.
