This past Sunday August 27 was a good time to be in the Mon Valley.  Two parishes, Holy Trinity Church in New Salem and Holy Resurrection in Belle Vernon held food festivals. Many joined the faithful in New Salem, outside of Uniontown, for hot food and prizes at their annual "Otpust" Festival. Then, just a few miles away, others stopped by Holy Resurrection Church for their annual "Take Home and Enjoy Festival; all food was pre-packaged and ready for pick up.
