On Sunday August 6, His Eminence and several clergy of the the Archdiocese joined Metropolitan Tikhon to celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration with clergy and faithful from all Orthodox jurisdictions from around western Pennsylvania and beyond at the Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City.

As in many Orthodox communities around the world, the service concluded with the traditional blessing of fruit.  Additionally, His Eminence offered a prayer of safe travel for His Beatitude who continues on from Elwood City to the Saint Herman Pilgrimage in Alaska.
