On Monday, September 23, members of St. Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral, as the Orthodox Christians for Life parish ministry, attended the fourth annual PA March for Life in Harrisburg. They joined the OCLife group from the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Lancaster. The Orthodox were among more than 5,000 people who gathered outside the Pennsylvania Capitol on a very rainy day, as a testament to the strength of the anti-abortion movement in our state. At the conclusion of the speeches, we marched with the large group around the Capitol building, and then prayed our Moleben service for victims of abortion, led by Father Alexander Cadman, priest at Saints Mary and Martha Orthodox Church in Clearfield. On the Monday of the march, we Orthodox also commemorated the Conception of St. John the Baptist.
