Young Adult Retreat at Camp Nazareth - October 25-27, 2024
From October 25-27, Orthodox young adults from multiple jurisdictions gathered at Camp Nazareth in Mercer for the Fall 2024 Young Adult Retreat. With the theme “Caring for God’s Creation: The Self,” participants explored how caring for our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being honors God. The event was hosted by The American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh Y2AM, the Orthodox Church in America and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church USA
Led by keynote speaker Alex Balouris, attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, shared fellowship, and found time for deep reflection and spiritual renewal. Blessed with picture-perfect weather and surrounded by Camp Nazareth’s stunning scenery, participants enjoyed a peaceful environment that enriched the retreat experience.
This retreat was made possible through our Archdiocese collaborating with the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA.
Special thanks to everyone who contributed to this inspiring weekend, including our Archdiocesan planning committee members Luke Sidorick and Fr. Alexander Cadman, who were also present for the retreat.
