On Saturday, December 16, Archpriest Michael Senyo, Rector of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Jeannette, joined many volunteers from around Westmoreland County to participate in this year's Wreaths Across America event. The mission of Wreaths Across America is: Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

Father Michael participated in the blessing of the wreaths before distribution to the local cemeteries and the blessing at the parish's own cemetery. Wreaths were laid at all veterans' graves in the cemeteries within and surrounding Jeannette. With the help of South Hills Movers, who trucked the wreaths to Jeannette, and many volunteers, over 1700 veterans were honored for their service to their country with a wreath on their grave.
