The Faithful of St John the Baptist Church in Black Lick/Blairsville will hold a memorial liturgy at 9:00AM on Monday December 18, 2023, for their former pastor, Archbishop Job (Osacky) of Chicago.

Though born and raised in the Midwest, then-Richard John Osacky came to the St John parish upon his 1970 graduation from St Tikhon's Seminary to serve the faithful as cantor and youth director. In 1973, he was ordained, first to the diaconate and then to the priesthood and served as their pastor until his episcopal election for the Diocese of New England in 1983. Upon his repose in 2009, His Eminence returned home to St John's and is interred at the parish.
