The Faithful of St Nicholas Church in Weirton have created a new project to reach out to those in need in their local community, Blessing Bags. On Sunday August 20, they had prepared bags that parishioners may keep in their cars and pass along to those in need that they meet. Items in the bag include things such as toothpaste and brush, deodorant, $5 Walmart gift cards, socks, non-perishable snacks like raisins, hand sanitizer, as well as other essentials. 

According to their Rector, Priest Andrew Nelko, "This was a new thing we started and it will be something we do periodically throughout the year and items will be determined by season(gloves in winter…)."
