Like many Orthodox communities around the world, SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Jeannette blesses honey as part of their celebration of the Feast of the Procession of the Honorable Wood of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord on August 1.

On this first of three “Feasts of the Savior” in August, the parish will bless, and sell, honey harvested locally by parishoner Nicholas Kaspereck at his Theotokos Apiary.
